Etching and Aquatint. 50 x 40 cm. Edition of 4 on Gvarro Creysse paper.

For this Etching, I confused the mountain that I wanted to draw with a misplaced photograph. They are very similar in highs/composition, and I realized the mistake too late.

So... I don't have any clue where this is placed.

I love drawings. I like this one :)
I used to have a drawing of Caucasia mountains in my house, it was made with similar technique, which is very good for mountains. It was very long time ago, and that drawing was lost during moving.

oh! That's sad. I've lost artwork others have made for me during movings too, there are just too many papers to keep track of every single one. And it's very frustrating to find them nowhere because they always have a special meaning.

Is this place Caucasia mountains? As I wrote on the description, this etching was done using a misplaced photo as reference.. So, I don't know where the real place is.

So, this is what 'misplaced' meant! :)

I am sorry, but I have no idea where is this mountain from your photograph.

If you want to identify it you can use "search by image" feature in google. I doubt it will work, but you may try.

Otherwise there are certainly several people in the world who are knowledgeable enough about mountains to be able to recognize it :)

hm.. I've used that method to find authors of pictures before and it has worked wonderfully. But I'm not sure if it will give such clear results with a photo cutout with heavy color and contrast correction (which is what I do with my pictures to understand slight color variations along the earth surface). Maybe it does just fine, I'll give it a try. (:
